Summit 3 Recap

Summit 3 was created to open up competition opportunities for athletes who had international tournaments canceled in recent weeks.

Darian Cruz and Guesseppe Rea went 2-0 with a pair of technical fall wins.  Joey Lavallee also went 2-0 winning 8-2 and 10-2.

Summit

In an effort to provide competition for several senior level athletes, RTCs from around the country came together to create an event to give their athletes an opportunity to compete.  Summit 3 will feature men’s freestyle athletes from the following RTC’s:

PRTC, Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club (LVWC), Gopher RTC, Nittany Lion Wrestling Club (NLWC), Scarlet Knight Wrestling Club (SKWC), New Jersey RTC (NJRTC), Clarion RTC, Knights RTC, New York City RTC (NYCRTC), Spartan Combat RTC, Northeast RTC (NERTC), and the Tarheel RTC.

Matches will be streamed live on the PRTC Rokfin Channel beginning at 4pm.

Huskie Open

Cruz and Rea dominate Huskie open.  They secured “bonus point” wins in all of their matches without giving up any points. Guesseppe had two 1st period technical falls and Darian one tech and one pin.

Levallee and Wood set to compete in 2021 World Team Trials

Joey Levallee (79kg) and Jordan Wood (125kg) will represent the LVWC at the 2021 Senior World Team Trials will be held at the Pinnacle Bank Arena on September 11th-12th!

Wrestling begins at 10a local time Saturday Sept. 11 and finals are slated for 2pm Sunday Sept. 12th. Click here for the full schedule.

The Champion in Men’s Freestyle, Women’s Freestyle, and Greco-Roman for the 2021 Senior World Team Trials will represent Team USA at the 2021 Senior World Championships in Oslo, Norway on October 2nd-10th.

LVWC Hires Kerry McCoy

The Board of Directors of the Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club (founded in 2000 as the Lehigh Valley Athletic Club) is excited to announce the appointment of Kerry R. McCoy to a newly established position of Executive Director and Head Coach, effective October 1, 2021. The announcement was made jointly by new Chairman and local businessmen, Travis Doto and Michael J. Caruso.


Kerry will oversee all Club operations and activities, freestyle and folkstyle wrestling clinics for males and females within 50 miles of Bethlehem, plus recruitment and training of world class resident-athletes.
